What challenge or situation prompted this project?
The VA sought to modernize and integrate its Health Portfolio products with the Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to provide a unified and improved healthcare system for veterans. The effort aimed to streamline and enhance the delivery of care across the VA without the complexities of maintaining separate technical architectures.
What was the agency’s position before your involvement?
Before TAG’s involvement, the VA faced challenges in consolidating and integrating multiple health portfolio products with the new Cerner EHR system. The need for technical support and expertise in managing the transition and integration of these products was critical to ensure effective modernization of the healthcare system.

What services did you provide?
TAG provided testing and quality assurance support for VA’s Telehealth Management Platform (TMP) and Veteran Health Information Exchange (VHIE), including system analysis, requirements gathering, software design, code development, and deployment. TAG also provided test event management, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support..

TAG’s team consisted of business analysts, test engineers, software developers, and project managers. TAG worked collaboratively with VA stakeholders, including Business Analysts, Test Engineers, and Test Planners/Managers, to develop effective test strategies and ensure complete software lifecycle support..
