The project was initiated to enhance STEM outreach efforts, broaden engagement with historically underserved populations, and create an efficient pipeline for defense talent. The need arose from the growing requirement to cultivate a future-ready workforce and improve STEM-related educational opportunities aligned with Army objectives.

TAG led a multi-phase transformation to improve the Picatinny Arsenal STEM Office’s strategy, operations, and outreach. Services included developing a year-round STEM engagement calendar, creating and deploying digital tools for internship coordination, conducting outreach, and improving community awareness of STEM opportunities.

What was your team structure and approach?
TAG’s team included project managers, outreach specialists, IT professionals, and communications experts. We took a collaborative approach, working closely with DEVCOM stakeholders, including Legal, HR, IT, and external partners such as AEOP and local educators. Communication was centralized via regular meetings and shared digital resources.
